Several years ago, I had an idea to create a site that would bring together aspects of mindfulness and wellness, something that didn’t focus on one set of teachings but instead included insights from all kinds of teachings that work in every day life.

Being part Cherokee, I looked online for the Cherokee word for peace. That word is Tohi. The interesting thing is that tohi is also the word for health.

Health = Peace
made so much sense to me.

And then I came across this quote from Marianne Williamson:
“Ego says, “Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace.”
Spirit says, “Find your peace and then everything will fall into place.”

And that is my path… to find peace and improve my health, because dis-ease in our lives is brought about by not living authentically and at peace. And as I walk that path, I marvel at how things fall into place. That is what I want to share and the intent of this site. I want to open as many doors as I can for as many people as I can. I have been called to spread the insights I’ve learned that lead to finding personal peace, and bring the benefits of experiencing awareness and how that improves life to all.

I invite you to walk with me on this journey… in whatever way works for you.

Welcome,
Kris Whalen, Founder Tohi Gardens
